Hello! I am Auer Miklós Pál-Mike, a professional ballroom dance instructor and graduated from the Hungarian University of Dance Arts with a degree in Modern Ballroom and Fashion Dance. I have been teaching various dance styles for over 30 years, from hip hop to swing, and I have dedicated my life to teaching dance in Europe, Asia and Australia. For me, dance is not just a job, but a passion and a source of joy.

I come from a family of dance teachers. My father, Pál Auer (Pali), was one of the most well-known and respected ballroom dance teachers in Hungary for decades, who inspired me to choose dance and teaching as my profession. I believe that dance is for everyone, and that anyone can learn to dance and enjoy it in a friendly, stress-free environment. Thanks to him, I was surrounded by music, movement and the love of teaching since I was a child. I have been teaching dance full-time since 1996 – with nearly 30 years of experience and thousands of students behind me.

My classes are always in a good mood and I give personalized attention to each of my students. My goal is to help you discover the world of dance and enjoy the joy of movement together.

After establishing my career in Hungary, I spent several years teaching in Canada, the Caribbean, China, and then Australia. These international experiences have shaped a teaching method that is clear, effective, and easy to follow – regardless of where you come from or what language you speak.

I currently live in Budapest, where I teach both individual and group classes, in Hungarian and English. My main areas of expertise are ballroom dances (standard – Latin) and modern ballroom dance styles (salsa, bachata, boogie woogie, swing, country, etc.) – always with an emphasis on fun, connection and confidence.

My method is structured, yet relaxed. I help anyone feel comfortable on the dance floor – whether they come as a couple or alone. Many of my students come to me as if they were born with “two left feet” – but leave with rhythm, posture and the joy of dancing.

I believe that dance is not only movement – but also communication, self-expression and a huge source of happiness. If you want to be happier, I look forward to meeting you!
